Get to Know

Who I am

A consummate entertainer, Stormin' Norman Seldin’s storied career has taken him from bars and juke joints to Madison Square Garden and the White House.

His style combines his deep appreciation for American Roots music with his classical upbringing, starting with lessons at the Manhattan School at the age of 3. His work lead him to be credited as one of the originators of the Sound of Asbury Park, a blend of Rhythm and Blues, Rock, Pop, Doo-Wop, and Jazz synonymous with the Jersey Shore in the ‘60’s that birthed a musical movement.

Some artists Norman has shared the stage with include:

Roy Orbison - The Temptations - Bo Diddley - Freddy King - Roy Buchannon - Clarence Clemons - Bruce Springsteen - Waylon Jennings - Max Weinberg - Gary Talent - Bernard Purdie - Rob Paparozzi - Johnny Thunder - Jimmy Clanton - The Allman Brothers Band - Chuck Berry - Patti LaBelle - Dee Dee Sharp - The Tramps - The Cover Girls - Bobby Rydel - Bobby Lewis - The Chambers Brothers - Santo & Johnny - Waylon Jennings - Doc Holiday - Rochelle Seldin - Elena Bennet - Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge - Larry Chance & the Earls - The Orlons - The Olympics - Ruby & The Romantics - The Rascals - The Drifters - Jimmy Beaumont & the Skyliners - Chubby Checker - Arthur Conley - Bobby Lewis and many others!

Norman is currently listed as one of Steinway’s Artists in Residence, a title conferred upon only the best pianists of his or her time. “You Don’t Know Me,” Stormin’ Norman’s oficial biography written by historian Charlie Horner, is out now. An album of newly recorded material will be available in the spring of 2022.
